Albert May died November 1959 at the Bow Arrow Hospital, Bow Arrow Lane, Dartford, Kent. At the time, the hospital had 117 beds, 107 of which were for tuberculosis patients and 10 for non-tuberculous cases. The hospital closed in 1983. The building has been demolished replaced by housing.
He was buried 11 November 1959 at the Stone Cemetery, St James Lane, Stone, Dartford, Kent (grave number J 1799). The service was performed by Ernest G Pratt.
